Sanjeev H. Pujar from Dharwad, had bought a pair of Monty Player shoes for Rs. 1,250 from a shop calling itself The Planet, for the human race, A unit of LVT Container, The Authorized Signatory, Lvt Containers, this year. But after wearing them for a few days he noticed that the color began to fade! He requested the shop to replace the shoes but they told him the shoes would be sent to their workshop for polishing and would be returned to him.
After that, he did not get the shoes back despite several reminders to The Planet! Even a legal notice did not work.
He finally had to complain to the Dharwad consumer forum which ordered The Planet, for the human race, A unit of LVT Container, The Authorized Signatory, Lvt Containers to repay Rs. 1,250 to the consumer along with Rs. 2000 as compensation and Rs. 1000 as court costs!
The Planet for the Human Race had been found wanting in its behavior!
