We won’t be shopping for Swipe India mobile phones!
Santhosh Kumar of Mysore had bought a Swipe Konnect mobile phone of Swipe India, Maharashtra, from Snapdeal online for Rs. 4,444. Within the warranty period the phone started giving trouble with its touch screen functions.
He submitted it for repairs to R.C. Service Point Mysore which told him that the sensor was not working and would be repaired. But that was the last he saw of his phone. The shop never returned it to him despite several requests and complaints.
He finally had to complain to the Mysore consumer forum which found Swipe India and R.C. Service Centre guilty of deficient service. It ordered them to refund Rs. 4,444 to Santhosh along with Rs. 2000 as compensation for causing him agony along with Rs. 1000 as costs.
