Better to keep your hair on than to trust VLCC to remove it!
VLCC ordered to repay Rs. 60,000 to Bangalore consumer for harassing and cheating him
Abhishekh Vinod Sharma of Koramangala Bangalore, had paid up Rs. 60,000 to the VLCC Health Care Ltd. Indiranagar, for full body lazer hair removal for an unlimited number of times. But he was shocked when he got his receipt from VLCC which said he would only get six lazer hair removal sessions!
After endless unpleasant exchanges between him and the staff: Rohit Murgai and Debroti Chatterjee they agreed to give him the unlimited sessions as promised. He got two sessions done in their Koramangala branch which however closed down. The third session was then refused and he was given a hard time by the VLCC staff and he even complained online about them. They ignored all his calls, messages etc. and did not refund his money.
He finally complained to the IV additional district consumer disputes redressal forum Bangalore which also found the VLCC guilty of deficient service, harassment and wasting the time of this consumer.
VLCC did not come to the court hearings. The Forum ordered VLCC to refund Rs. 60,000 to Abhishek along with Rs. 5000 as costs. It has also warned the company that if they did not follow its order, they would face legal charges like imprisonment etc.
