To be healthy sweeten your own food!


Michael Pollan gives us yet another very good advice about healthy eating in his booklet Food Rules An Eater’s Manual. He says: sweeten and salt your food yourself.




Whether we are having soups, cereals or soft drinks on our table, foods and beverages made by corporations please remember are crammed with far higher levels of salt and sugar than any ordinary human would ever add! Even a child!


When you sweeten and salt your own food you will make them exactly to your taste and you will discover that you are tucking in a fraction as much sugar and salt as you otherwise would says Pollan!

In India our favourite snacks often include the delectable, sadly addictive Haldi Ram kitchen treasures! These and similar companies are not good for us! The Centre for Science and Environment in Delhi has done a study showing us how very unhealthy these and other fast food snacks are!
