Easy Flowers, Koramangala, Bangalore, bakery disappoints consumer
Dolly Chourasia of Bangalore had ordered a Black Forest Cake for her friend’s birthday, from Easy Flowers, a shop in Koramangala 5thblock. The cake was to be sent to her friend as a surprise on his birthday.
She ordered the cake online on January 21, 2017. She had given all details about where the cake had to be delivered and being satisfied with all the information, the shop had taken Rs. 699 from her online, and assured her that the cake would be delivered to her friend.
But on 24thJanuary 2017 she got a call from Easy Flowers, telling her to pay an additional amount of Rs. 399 as the place of delivery was on the outskirts of Bangalore.
Annoyed and upset at this unfair trade practice she cancelled her order and asked them to refund her money. Despite several requests they did not return her money and ignored all mails. She complained to the IV Additional district consumer disputes redressal forum where the shop owner did not bother to appear.
The consumer forum found Easy Flowers guilty of deficient service and ordered them to refund Rs. 699 to Dolly along with costs of Rs. 500.
