The Centre for Science and Environment in Delhi has found that 17 brands of bottled water tested by them had upto 70 per cent of pesticides in them. The top five brands were crammed with various kinds of pesticides. The water used by them for bottling was not from any mountain spring or the Himalayas as shown on their advertisements. It was from municipal water!
Similar tests done in USA found that bottled water was collected from municipal as well as polluted water supplies near contaminated areas!
It never hurts to know more about that dreadful bottled water and how it increases our carbon footprint unforgivably!
