How to make scented rose candles!
If you have a lot of candle ends (white) left over, put them in a double boiler. Skim off the wick pieces, and for every pound of wax obtained, stir in half a cupful of very finely crushed dried rose petals.
Different coloured roses, especially the reds and pinks, will give a charming mottled design! Fasten some wick or coarse loose twine to a nail to hold it in place at the bottom of a tin or other waxed mould, and hold the wick firmly as you pour in the wax, to keep it centred.
