Ananthi Educational Health Care Charitable Trust in Mysore cheats consumer
S. Subramanyam of Mysore had paid up Rs. 37,000 to the Ananthi Educational Health Care Charitable Trust in Mysore to send a home nurse to his home, to care for his ailing mother. The Trust took his money and never sent the home nurse till his mother died.
When he urged them to return his money the Trust gave him two cheques of Rs. 18,000 each which bounced! A legal notice sent to them also did not help him to get back his money.
He finally complainted to the consumer forum Mysore and its President H.M. Shivakumar Swamy found the Trust guilty of deficient service causing mental agony to the complainant. He ordered it to return Rs. 36,000 to Subramanyam along with Rs. 5000 for causing mental agony, another Rs. 3000 for bad services and Rs. 2000 towards court costs.
